Growers of origin.

About us

A family making chocolate from the origin.

We are Erica Belén and her sons Miguel and Juan Diego. We grow cacao on the El Porvenir farm, buy directly from more than 60 families in Norte de Santander, and turn it into chocolate at our workshop and chocolate shop in Cúcuta.

Tree to bar: from the tree to the bar, all in-house.

The people behind it

The founding team.

None of them came from farming. All three decided cacao would be their thing.

Strategic direction

Why we exist and where we are going.

Purpose of origin

Mission.

To transform cacao fields through sustainable agroecological practices, promoting circular economies and restoring biodiversity.

To empower farmers by improving the quality and productivity of their farms, so that the countryside becomes a true opportunity for life.

Through innovation, to build a value chain that shows the world the great quality of the products that can be made from the fruit of cacao.

Projection

Vision.

To be a replicable value-chain model in Colombia, where cacao is not only an agricultural product but a tool for rural development, social inclusion and environmental sustainability.

To become a national and international reference for high-quality chocolate made with positive social and environmental impact.

Purpose

We believe in the transforming power of cacao as an engine of development. That is why, through the tree-to-bar approach, we control every stage of the process, from the farm to the bar.

Quality · Sustainability · Traceability

Sustainability and social impact

What we do for the territory.

Farm

Environmental.

No industrial agriculture. Agroecology on the farm, biodiversity being restored, and every lot traceable from the field to the finished product.

Families

Fair trade.

We buy directly from cacao-growing families, with a 3% bonus for excellent-quality cacao and ongoing training in growing and post-harvest.

Next generation

Women and youth.

Women and young people from the producing families receive training and take part in the value chain. So that cacao becomes a life project, not an obligation.

History and experience

Founded in 2018. More than a decade of craft.

For some 12 years the team has worked with agronomists from Colombia and Venezuela on a methodology of continuous improvement for growing and processing cacao.

In 2023 the Somos Hermanos bar won the Tavoletta d'Oro in Italy and a recognition at Paris Gourmet, France.
